Hoping to try the 35-150 on nikon. Adapting sony lenses will be great because i can own all sony lenses and if sony is needed for a project i can rent all sonys using the same lenses.

Hi I'm a Sony user and want to try the Z8. However, most of my Sony lenses are Tamron and Sigma. A few queries: Will it work as well for third-party Sony lenses? How about the frame rate? Any issues if shooting at 20fps? or 30fps? does the AF and AE work? or does it even shoot at that frame rate?

Great video! The Nikon Z-Mount is just very versatile for adapting lenses. This is also great if you want to rent a lens from other systems for your Nikon (without the need to purchase it).

I'm puzzled, how in the world this adapter works so well ? I'm seriously considering adding a new camera to my kit and the Z8 or Z6III seem amazing already but with this adapter working with all my Sony lenses, it makes even more sense to get one of these cameras

It’s not only amazing because it allows you to use Sony’s more complete lens line up, but it also allows you to use all the third party lenses that have been created for Sony E mount for many years now! Tamron 35-150 is $100 more expensive for Nikon users! 🤷‍♂️

I hope someday sony lenses can be adapted to my Canon RF cameras just for their cheap smaller primes

r6 ii and r3 have different sensors, r3 is stacked, it;s not partly or something, it's full stacked. So forget about 120.

Regarding the Pentax is a Big Fail because use half of the 35mm film on the scanner it won't get you professional results, as wedding photographer I shoot lot weddings on film and nothing beat Canon Eos 1 V or medium format Mamiya 645, it makes money because bring nostalgia and a cinematic look whit not too much edition.

I don't know which camera brand will win in 2024, but the camera that's going to be for me is the GH7. For my use cases, it's the hybrid camera that ticked more boxes at this price-point.

Sony is the new Nokia, they are not reading the room and are too comfortable.

That's funny Jordan and Chris (TCS, DP Review, Peta Pixel) have been shooting their review episodes on the GH5 and GH6 for YEARS and their videos looks better or on par with whatever Brandon shoots with (basically cameras with sensors bigger than M43).... I guess it's not about the gear it's about how you use it hahaha

I have a Nikon D7200 and a Z5 and I love them! The next will be for sure the Z6III, here in Argentina is so expensive but some day I'll get it.

I know I am just subscriber but that dudes bias towards Canon is extremely annoying. It's great having your preferred brand but jeez you do not have to be like that. I am 43 minutes in and this is where I stop listening what was set to be a very interesting podcast.

The Final Cut Camera app is not even close in features to Black Magic Camera...I would expect they continue using Black Magic for their next events. The funniest thing was that Apple gave them special thanks, and it seemed that BM added the exact features Apple wanted to use. As an example, Tentacle Sync integration...BMC has it, Final Cut Camera doesn't. Tilta Nucleus wireless focus, BMC has it, FCC doesn't. The list goes on The one thing that FCC has is a good multi-cam workflow with Final Cut. Those two companies have a long history of working together, Black Magic's first product was a mac capture card called the DeckLink.

what about s5ii or s5iix? compare the z6iii to it on B&H, they are almost identical except for partially stacked sensor.

I use strobes every day shooting flash/ambient real estate composites. Global shutter and those massive synch speeds it offers is SO under-rated for workflows like mine. Let's face it though...most people who buy and use cameras are not working pros, and off-camera flash synch speed/limitation is just about as "pro level" of a spec as they come, so most people won't understand why it's such a big deal.

Sony won’t match it because of the cinema line they have. They just won’t do it. I would be shocked if they did at that price.

Missed the live stream again. Good for Nikon but, with the C400, R1 and R5 Mark II coming out, this will be a huge year for Canon. I’m not really in the cinema world but I can tell you that no amount of RUclipsr whining will affect the sales of the R1 to the pros that need it. As for the R5m2, Canon will sale all they can manufacture. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have heard lots of people talk about the Z mount and how adaptable it is. I have been shooting Nikon since 2010 though.

Disagree with you on the number of camera releases. They NEED to give more variety to the customers. And NOT just randomly, but differentiate their products more, i.e. more video focused vs camera focused cameras - and they have RED's technology to do that. With video focused, they can leverage RED's RAW codec with low-light beast sensor and internal ND filters (kinda like FX3,FX6). For photo-centric they could also borrow from RED's global sensor tech and make ultra fast and accurate cameras for professional photography (like the A9iii). All in all, them purchasing RED SHOULD be the best chance to harness each other's unique technology to become competitive amongst its competitors... IMO

As far as lenses go, I think Nikon's gift to users with the Z-mount was the flange distance and width of the mount. As a 20-year Nikon user, F-mount sucked so badly in that regard. You couldn't adapt anything to it, and adapting F glass elsewhere was also a terrible experience as everything was full manual. Now with Z (almost) everything adapts to it with electronics as well. I'm perfectly happy adapting cine glass and more video focused lenses (it's also completely plausible I'm just so traumatised by 20 years of F-mount I'll put up with just about anything)

In my country no body make fun of Nikon!!! 😅 every body make fun of Sony, but the the a7iii become the standard for híbryd… photographers stills shoots Nikon and Canon old dslr😅 is about quality and business not fashion trend for them

Love if you could list the accesories on the z6 iii , the 2nd handle the movie part on front on the lense.

Panasonic S5ii/X has better autofocus and better value for videographers. Overall Nikon is light years behind I’d invest in Sony Canon and now Panasonic best autofocus in 2024
